It has come to the attention of IOI Loders Croklaan that Forest Heroes has released a newsletter (May 22, 2015) in which IOI Loders Croklaan was mentioned. This newsletter was forwarded to several of our customers and stakeholders.

In its letter, Forest Heroes addresses the Aidenvironment report (March 2015) and the RSPO complaint filed against IOI Group. We would like to point out that the complaint was filed against IOI Group, not against IOI Loders Croklaan.

Since the publication of the Aidenvironment report both IOI Group and IOI Loders Croklaan have visited Ketapang (Indonesia) for on-site verification of the allegations. IOI Loders Croklaan’s preliminary report shows that the majority of the allegations mentioned in the Aidenvironment report are not in agreement with our findings. Our report has been shared with both Forest Heroes and Aidenvironment. IOI Group has confirmed they will take the necessary corrective measures- their action plan will follow soon. IOI Group has also confirmed their commitment to be compliant with our Sustainable Palm Oil Policy.

IOI Loders Croklaan will continue its efforts to build a traceable, transparent and sustainable palm oil supply chain. At group level, 96% of the palm oil we source is traceable to mill level. A total of 35% is RSPO certified and traceable to plantation level. We have conducted a risk assessment of our supply base and started our mill verification program in both Latin America and South East Asia.

You can find more information on our commitments in our Sustainable Palm Oil Policy. For the most recent traceability numbers, please go to our April update.
